FAQs

  • Permanent jewelry is a custom-fit chain that’s welded on instead of closed with a clasp. It’s a quick, sparkly process that leaves you with a seamless piece you can wear every day.

  • No. The weld is a tiny spark that only touches the jump ring, not your skin. You’ll feel us adjusting the chain, but the actual weld is super fast and painless.

  • We use 14k gold-filled, sterling silver, and stainless steel—high-quality metals made to be lived in and loved. They’re a big step up from typical fashion jewelry and are designed for everyday wear.

  • Because we use 14k gold-filled, sterling silver, and stainless steel, your jewelry is made to hold up beautifully with normal care. These metals should not turn your skin green; sterling silver can naturally oxidize over time, but it brightens right back up with a quick clean or polishing cloth. If you ever have issues with tarnishing, reach out and I’ll help find the best solution to making it shiny and gorgeous again!

  • Life happens—medical procedures, sports, safety, or just changing your mind. You can snip the jump ring at home with fingernail clippers, scissors or wire cutters. If you save the chain, we can re-weld it for you.

  • Permanent doesn’t mean unbreakable. If it snags on something with enough force, the jump ring is designed to give before you get hurt. I offer a lifetime warranty with free rewelds for the life of the chain, as long as you still have it. If the chain is lost, we can’t reattach it and a new piece would need to be purchased.

  • We’ll play with options first—trying on different chains, checking the length, and seeing how it looks on your wrist, ankle, or neck. Most people end up obsessed and come back for more, but if it ever stops feeling like “you,” you can simply cut it off.

  • We offer permanent jewelry for kids for ages 4 and up. We normally recommend stainless steel for its durability, which is perfect for their active lifestyles! For little ones, we always check that they understand it’s meant to stay on and that they’ll speak up if something feels uncomfortable. If your child isn’t quite ready, a custom-fitted clasped piece might be a better starting point.

  • Yes. Your permanent jewelry is meant to go where you go—showers, workouts, beach days, and beyond. Chlorine, salt water, and products can dull the shine over time, but they won’t ruin the metal; a quick clean (I recommend Lavish jewelry cleaner or blue Dawn dish soap) usually brings the shine right back.

  • Care is simple: your showers and washing your hands will usually keep bracelets looking shiny and beautiful. If you feel it’s a little dull, rinse with warm water, gently dry, and every so often use a soft polishing cloth (especially for sterling silver) to keep things bright. Blue Dawn dish soap and a soft toothbrush (like the free ones you get from the dentist) are perfect for getting into any texture that your chain might have. Avoid harsh chemicals when possible, and your piece will stay looking pretty.

  • Bodies change throughout the day and the season, and sometimes a fit that felt perfect at first needs a tweak. You can book a quick repair/fit-revision appointment and I can tighten it or add a little length with jump rings or an optional add-on connector.

  • Most single-piece appointments are about 15 minutes from chain selection to final weld. If you’re building a full stack or bringing friends, plan for a little extra time so you can enjoy the process without rushing.

  • Absolutely. Permanent jewelry is perfect for besties, couples, siblings, and mother–daughter moments. You can match exactly or choose different chains that still feel connected. We offer many of the same style of chains in different metals and colors, so you can coordinate while still matching your personal aesthetic.

  • You’re actually my favorite kind of person to weld because you’re just like me! We can focus on dainty, comfortable pieces in 14k gold-filled, sterling silver, and stainless steel that you can forget you’re wearing—until they catch the light and make you smile. You don’t have to be “a jewelry person” to love a tiny, meaningful piece you never take off. And if bold is more of your vibe, we have plenty of options to choose from as well, from chunky curb chains to rainbow and black choices. Who says permanent jewelry has to be dainty?!

  • Everyday jewelry like welded bracelets typically does not need to be removed for airport security. For medical procedures, always follow your provider’s instructions; if they ask for it to be removed, you can cut it off at the welded jump ring and bring the chain back for a reweld later.
